About the studio
A build floor, a lighting grid, and an opinion.
SceneCraft Studio is a physical set design practice. We draw, fabricate, finish and light the environments that products and people are photographed in — and we stay on set until the frame is right.

Everything real, everything on purpose
We work in plaster, timber, resin, steel, paper and fabric. A surface that has to read as concrete is troweled, not printed. A gradient that has to fall across a backdrop is lit, not layered. That discipline costs a little more on the build day and saves considerably more in retouching.
We're direct about what will and won't work. If a reference relies on an impossible light angle or a finish that will flare under a beauty dish, you'll hear it in the first conversation rather than at 4pm on shoot day.
How we work
A collaboration between our vision and yours.
- One team from drawing to strike
- The people who design the set are the people who build and light it. Nothing is handed over and misread.
- Samples before commitments
- Finishes are mixed, sprayed and photographed under the intended light before anything is approved.
- On set, not on call
- An art director and a fabricator stay through the shoot to adapt the build as the frame changes.
Materials come first
Our surface library runs to hundreds of samples: hand-plastered tiles, brushed and patinated metals, terrazzo chips, dyed fabrics and cast resins. Every project starts by pulling from it, because the texture decides how the light behaves long before the camera is set.
